After a well deserved day of rest yesterday, Del continued his travels today setting off from Orewa at 7.30am.
He found the East Coast Bays route from Silverdale to Browns Bay was probably the most difficult section of the whole day's trip with road works, loose metal etc. By 10.15am he was on the Devonport ferry heading for the city and by mid afternoon he had hunkered down in Drury for the night. He hopes to tackle the Bombay Hills tomorrow and head for Hamilton.
