Not a hill in sight and with the wind at his back, Del has decided to make the most of today's perfect conditions and pedal as far as he can across the Canterbury Plains. By midday he'd done 94kms, passing through Rakaia and Ashburton and had stopped for lunch at Hinds. He's aiming for Temuka, which is another 41kms away!!
If he makes it, that would be his all time record - 135kms in one day!!! He's amazing!
He'll be shattered by the time he gets there. I'll suggest he takes a day off tomorrow. Wasting my breath, do you think?
